I wanted to publish these photos for a few months, but the excitement of being in a new country and travelling have made me postpone this post. If you follow me on Instagram (I usually post some photos on my “stories” when I’m travelling), then you probably know already that I made two trips around Ireland on my last month there. I already showed you photos from the first trip in The Causeway Coastal Route and Donegal. This time I’m going to show you the photos I took during my last trip in Ireland: the Ring of Kerry.
The Ring of Kerry is a 180km circular route in County Kerry, in the southwestern part of Ireland. It’s a famous tourist route that includes all types of sights: huge cliffs, a National Park, castles, abbeys in ruins, beautiful valleys and beaches…
We went during the last days of February. We started our trip in Killarney. It was a beautiful and sunny winter day and we got into the car soon, as we wanted to avoid the tourist crowds in certain famous sights. No need for that. We had the entire Gap of Dunloe and the Black Valley almost to ourselves for hours! We enjoyed there some of the most beautiful landscapes I’ve seen in Ireland.
After that, we continued our trip to Killarney National Park, Kenmare and drove along the coast until we arrived to our B&B, that couldn’t have a better location: the cliffs of Kerry. We arrived there just in time to enjoy the last light of the day disappearing on the Atlantic Ocean.
