My week in Amsterdam seemed a lot shorter than a week… So many things to see and such a short time! The second part of my week in the city started on Saturday. My brother is a triathlete and, as such, he has to train every day. So while he was cycling and running, I spent the mornings wandering around one of the main parks of the city, Vondelpark, where I could put in practice some photography techniques that I hadn’t tried before, like panning (Amsterdam is great for panning photography with all people cycling around you all the time!!!) or macro photography at the rosarium. After my brother’s training, brunch at cozy cafes and strolls around the city until night were the norm, when he would explain to me all about the different neighborhoods, the buildings, the canals, or where to buy the best sweets in Amsterdam… The weather was still warm and nice, and we could enjoy a lot of beautiful sunsets in the city or at Het Amsterdamer Bos, the forest of Amsterdam, another beautiful park in the outskirts of Amsterdam where my brother usually goes to train.

So, here is the second part of my Amsterdam series. I hope these photos reflect the good time I had in this city. For me, all of these photos are the reminders of beautiful moments during that week. I had such a nice time there that now I’m already planning a second visit!! I hope you like them! 🙂

Thanks a mil, Anne!! So happy you like my little impressions from Amsterdam! It’s a really pretty city!! And now that I know it (more or less), I’m already planning a second visit, this time with my husband too. And this time I’ll try to take photos a bit more technical, not just shooting everything I like in the city, hahaha. I hope I can go again soon and make more long exposures and things like that!
Ummm the panning… it was also the first time I tried it! Actually, I wanted to take some photos of my brother training… but after a few dozens of shots, the only one I liked was the one I posted with the random woman cycling in the park, hehehe. I think it is still because I don’t feel very confident taking photos of people. But it was fun, so I’ll try it again soon! 🙂

Mil gracias, Mr. Cantalan De La Iglesia…. hahaha. Se te ha pegado el acento mejicano??? 😛

  4. Again, such beauty in your shots! It looks like a vibrant place. I’ve been to Amsterdam, for a week or so, but it was so long ago it feels like another lifetime I barely remember…

Thanks a lot!! I have to say that this city really surprised me!! I found it even more beautiful than I though… And it reminded me a lot to the cities in the North! I don’t know why, but it brought me so many memories from Stockholm, hehehe. And at the same time, Amsterdam has a lot of personality! I had an amazing time there… now I’m planning the second visit (if my little brother lets me stay again with him, hahaha)

  5. Great captures of Amsterdam!
