I just came home from one of the most amazing trips I’ve ever made. I spent the last two weeks exploring California and it’s been awesome!! I travelled along the coast following the Highway 1 (even between the two road closures that affected the highway this year) and I visited the three National Parks in Sierra Nevada. And I finally went to San Francisco! It’s been a long drive (more than 2000 miles or more than 3500 km), I walked a lot of kilometres too… I took a few thousands of photos… I came home exhausted but happy! I met a lot of nice people on the way and I have seen so many impressive places and so much wildlife…
This is the route I followed during these two weeks:
The first stop of my trip was San Francisco. I spent there two and a half days, visiting the city and also Sausalito and Muir Woods National Forest in Marin County, north of San Francisco. The first thing that surprised me was the weather. How can it be so foggy in that city! I never got to see the sky in San Francisco, it was always cloudy during the day and, when the sunset was approaching, a dense fog covered the city… I never saw one of the most symbolic bridges of the city, for me the Golden Gate was always surrounded by fog. But I enjoyed San Francisco anyway. Its beautiful and eccletic architecture, its picturesque neighborhoods, its old cable cars and buses and its sea lions!
Here are some photos from my first two days in San Francisco! I hope you like them!
