Látrabjarg is probably one of my favourite places in Iceland. Located in the Westfjords, Látrabjarg is formed by a line of huge cliffs almost 450 m high and is the westernmost point of Iceland and Europe. The views of the Atlantic Ocean are magnificent (it’s considered one of the most beautiful places in the world to watch the sunset) and some days, you can even spot whales -unfortunately, I wasn’t that lucky the day I went there.
If the height of the cliffs wasn’t impressive enough, Látrabjarg is also home to millions of seabirds in summer. There I met one of my obsessions since I started to plan this trip: the puffins!! Aren’t they cute?
