Less than two years ago I visited Amsterdam for the first time as I was visiting my brother, who lived there. I loved the city. I went in early autumn, when the leaves are just starting to change colors. There were still flowers all around. I found a colorful city full of life. A busy city that never stops and, at the same time, a place where you could have a slower life: less traffic, lots of bikes all around and close to nature. You can see photos from that trip here and here.

My brother has now moved to London. And we went to spend with him his last days in Amsterdam. This time, I enjoyed having my brother guiding us through the city, telling us interesting stories and facts about it and taking us to his favorite places. We walked through beautiful Vondelpark and the busy streets and canals in the city centre. We admired Van Gogh’s work in his museum. It was cold and the weather wasn’t as good as during my first visit. Wind and storms accompanied us most of the time, but there was also time for beautiful sunny moments.

I didn’t take as many photos as my first visit to Amsterdam. But I loved to wander around Amsterdam and to see my brother saying goodbye to a city that has made him happy for more than three years.

Here are some of the photos I took there. I hope you like them!

Thanks Fran and Nata for being such wonderful hosts in Amsterdam! We loved sharing with you your last days in Amsterdam! I wish you all the luck and happiness in your new adventure in London! Love you!!
