February has been a strange month. Travels, a beautiful weeding and bad weather have made me neglect my photography and the blog. I’m not particularly happy about it, but I confess that this little digital detox feels somehow good. I love this blog, but sometimes taking care of the other social networks linked to it can be very time consuming and stressful! Even more for those people worried about numbers… Fortunately, I’m not one of those and these little “vacations” are welcomed.

But now I’m back in Zurich and ready to resume my routine. I haven’t taken new winter photographs in the last weeks. It has snowed a bit in Switzerland, but after a very mild winter, it seems that everybody is ready for spring. It’s beginning of March and everything is green and little flowers are starting to bloom everywhere. We have still a few snowy and cold days ahead, I’m sure of it. But with the warm temperatures and the sun shining, today I don’t feel like sharing more white landscapes…

So, here are some photos I took last summer. As my mum, and later my brother and his wife, visited us, I wanted to show them very special places in Switzerland. One of those special places is Lucerne. Located in central Switzerland, at the end of lake Lucerne, this small city at the gate of the Swiss Alps is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the country. And there’s no wonder why. The pretty houses with painted facades, the impressive baroque churches, the iconic Chapel bridge adorned with flowers, the views of the lake and the mighty Alps from the city, and the tranquil atmosphere of the city makes visiting it one of the best experiences in Switzerland! And definitely one that I want my visitors to have!
