Between all the paperwork of moving to a new country and looking for an apartment, I’ve found some time to start exploring Switzerland. The weather has been amazing during my first month here. It’s been sunny and warm, more like summer than spring. Perfect conditions to start hiking in the Swiss countryside.
During the Easter weekend we went to Walensee with some friends. Walensee is one of the largest lakes in Switzerland, located in the cantons of St. Gallen and Glarus and not far from Zurich. The landscape of Walensee resembles a fjord, with the lake surrounded by mountains and vertical cliffs on the northern side. We walked along the southern shore of the lake, enjoying the views of the impressive Churfirsten mountain range and the cliffs at the other side of the lake.
Here are some photographs I took during the hike. I hope you like them!
